The 3 appointed Post-Doctoral Research Fellows are expected to contribute to the research and teaching efforts of the DART Centre. One of each of the three positions will be located at Monash University, Victoria, the University of Melbourne, Victoria, and the University of Sydney, New South Wales with a start date of 2024/2025.
The successful applicant will engage in novel chemical research exploiting molecular incorporation of radioactive elements, stable chelation of metal radionuclides, bioconjugation methodologies, radioactivity capture via nanomaterials and cages, and the design of new peptidomimetic targeting molecules to deliver technological advances to radiopharmaceutical science. They will also contribute to the development and delivery of bespoke training in advanced radiochemical technologies and play a lead role in developing the highly-skilled workforce needed to enhance Australia’s commercial capacity to meet a rapidly escalating global radiopharmaceutical market.
The successful applicants are expected to work well with each other, across nodes and industry partners, and support HDR research projects, as well as pursuing their own projects. The postings are for 3 years with the ability to extend an additional 2 years (5 years total).
